The neighbors now think I'm crazy

I took a walk on the golf course around golden hour to take some pictures. {No golfers were around, so I was safe from stray golf balls:)}

Gah. I love the lighting in these!

I like to call this "The Pond of the Screaming Frogs". Giant bullfrogs sit at the side of the water and jump into the pond when you pass by. And they scream. And then I scream. And quickly spin around to make sure no one saw or heard me.

You think I'm kidding.

 {May I just point out how utterly ridiculous I looked laying down in the middle of the golf course to take a picture of a tee? But the result was totally worth it!}

I know it looks like a lovely evening for a walk, but don't let these pictures deceive you. It was HOT. I could've baked cookies on that sidewalk!:) But it was fun nonetheless, and I plan on going again with a new photo subject. Preferably when it gets cooler. {That would be December.}

Summertime

Summer teased for months, showing small signs of the well-anticipated season before fully bursting out into this new time. And I've fallen in love with it. There is nothing more enjoyable than asking what the day holds and being told that we have absolutely no plans. I love not doing anything at all. The weather, while it's always hot, is pretty fantastic. It never rains, it's never cloudy, and there's always a pool to get in when it becomes unbearably hot. You can usually find me in my bed, or in the pool, or occasionally somewhere other than my house, but check the bed first. {I'm most likely there}

Surprise!

Right as I got home on Thursday of last week, my parents told me I had 20 minutes to pack and be in the car so that we could go to San Antonio! So spontaneous, these parents of mine :) We had a fantastic few days in San Antonio- swimming, chilling in the lazy river, and lots of picture-taking! Here's the post from the last time we went, if you want to see more of the awesome resort we stayed at:)

I finished school yesterday.

gah. I'm so happy. I love school, but I have been needing a break!

I'll totally miss my friends, though.

You know those little happy moments that make your day a little bit brighter? Those little juicy moments that you want to gobble up before they leave. The ones that make you want to stop and stay in that moment forever. The ones that can't be captured by a camera or described in words. 

The adrenaline rush you get playing hide and sneak. The feeling of relief after giving a speech. The hug of a friend whose been gone. The feeling of satisfaction after cleaning the kitchen. The little beam of sunshine coming in your window. The laughter shared with friends over an inside joke. 

I live for these little moments.
