Summertime

“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time”

-Joh Lubbock

Summer teased for months, showing small signs of the well-anticipated season before fully bursting out into this new time. And I've fallen in love with it. There is nothing more enjoyable than asking what the day holds and being told that we have absolutely no plans. I love not doing anything at all. The weather, while it's always hot, is pretty fantastic. It never rains, it's never cloudy, and there's always a pool to get in when it becomes unbearably hot. You can usually find me in my bed, or in the pool, or occasionally somewhere other than my house, but check the bed first. {I'm most likely there}

This reminds me of the quote hanging in my bathroom, "How beautiful it is to do nothing and then rest afterwards." It truly is an art, Megan, because I am not good at the doing nothing thing. Glad you're enjoying some rest!

Your pics are awesome. You have a gift. Like Mom, I am not good at doing nothing. You must share your secret. See you soon. Love NANA

I love it!! The pictures are great and the quote is awesome. :) Even though it is nice not doing anything whatsoever, I do miss seeing you nearly everyday!! Love you!

As God says - "Be still and listen, my child..." The
key to peace is "stop and listen" to God's world.

PS You have QUITE a talent for photography, and you are also training your beautiful sister to be a
model (as you were when you were young) :)
Keep up the good work - I hope to see your "byline" someday in a publication..... love, KK
