Moments

{unedited}

You know those little happy moments that make your day a little bit brighter? Those little juicy moments that you want to gobble up before they leave. The ones that make you want to stop and stay in that moment forever. The ones that can't be captured by a camera or described in words.

The adrenaline rush you get playing hide and sneak. The feeling of relief after giving a speech. The hug of a friend whose been gone. The feeling of satisfaction after cleaning the kitchen. The little beam of sunshine coming in your window. The laughter shared with friends over an inside joke.

I live for these little moments.

Friday Five

1. What I'm working on:

A science report, Latin, another deep blog post (yes, I quite enjoy writing them:)), cleaning my room, and other unexciting stuff!

2. What I'm listening to:

The Tangled soundtrack on my iPad:)
I kid you not.

3. What I'm wishing for:

A break from paper-writing would be nice :)

And a milkshake. I would really like a milkshake.

A Polaroid camera is on my obsessed-with list. I think they are soo cool!

4. What I'm anticipating:

Annie, the play, tonight with MG, Mom, and Mallory- Yay!!

I'm also Dreading (yes, capital D dreading) a speech I have to give in Biology on Monday. *shudder*

5. What I'm reading:

Another China book!

These Days

These days you can find me sitting on my bed, doing homework. You'll find me reading Plato's Republic, drawing the life cycle of a jellyfish, writing a paper, or solving for x.

These days, taking a break is a special treat. I reward myself for my hard work with a round of Temple Run. Which means I better make it past 500 meters!

These days, my fish may not get fed, my hair may not get washed, my thank you notes may not get written. My bathroom may not get cleaned, my pandora station may run out of skips.

These days, I'm busy, I'm tired, I'm stressed. Sometimes I am a tad bit grumpy. Sometimes.

These days, I'm excited. I laugh a lot. I read. I play with my sisters. I babysit. I *think about* riding my bike, completing my 15 before 15, and cleaning my room.

I have fun...I really do.

These days, I'm happy. Yes, I'm stressed out 99% of the time, but it's a happy stressed.

These days are good.

Me.today

I typically don't make much sense when I'm freezing.

And I'm freezing now.
My legs are bumping the top of the desk they're shaking so bad.
So this post probably won't make much sense.
Then again, I don't make sense most of the time anyway.

I'm lonely here at home.
The rest of my family went to Lit Club, so I'm stuck here doing Latin

And for all of you wondering- Latin is fun stuff.
I'm enjoying it immensely.

You have to read that last statement with a lot of sarcastic, otherwise it sounds like I am enjoying doing Latin.
I'm not THAT homeschooled.

I've heard taco pizza is on the menu for tonight- so I'll be okay. Latin or not.

I've also got some science to do.
We're making pedigrees this week.
Thanks to my extended family for helping me out with that.
Though I could've used a little more variety as far as eye color went...
all you blue-eyed people are a tad bit boring.

So anyway....
I've got stuff to do.
Not really- I'm just saying that because I'm not sure how to end this post.

I'll leave you with a picture of Mei Mei:)

{Have a good Friday!}

Thoughts for the first weeks of school:

1. The 9:00 class period comes wayyy too soon.

2. The 7:00 alarm comes even sooner.

3. Waking up to a very loud alarm is a good thing.

4. Then- after running across the room to turn it off before I wake anyone else up- I'm really awake.

5. Makes for an interesting day.

6. I need to eat breakfast so that my stomach doesn't growl too loudly during class.

7. Don't wear the same shirt twice in the same week.

8. Make sure I have enough shirts so that I can do no. 7.

9. Swirl is the most amazing thing. Ever.

10. Seriously. It is.

11. Eating lunch at 10:30 really doesn't work for me.

12. 2 1/2 hours of Latin after 2 1/2 hours of silent study hall after 2 1/2 hours of Biology is tough.

13. It's really, really hard for me to be silent in silent study hall.

14. I really do try!

15. Very, very few people reading this post will understand my ramblings...

And now I'm wasted a whole minute of your life.

Thank you.

M & M's First Day of School

Last Wednesday was Maddie's first day of Kindergarten! She loved it, and couldn't wait until the next day. Mei Mei was quite the opposite! Her first day was TODAY and she was..... well...... less than enthusiastic. At first, before we lent to drop her off, she was fine! When we arrived at school- she SCREAMED! When she got home this afternoon, she was perfectly fine- just chatting away about Ms. Nadia and Ms. "Cwistal" (Crystal).  She was spoiled by getting presents, getting her nails painted and getting special snacks when she got home!

First Day of School!!!!!!

Today we had sooooooooo much fun! I woke up at 7:30-ish and had started on my Math work by 8:15. Then we did History, Handwriting, Journal writing, a little bit of latin and Grammer. Then, Dad surprised us by coming home for lunch, and we had some delicious hotdogs! We had completed our school day by 12:00- covering all the things we would have done, had we been at school!!
